Drawings & Color Pencils
Starting something “new” on my blog, featuring my personal creations in multiple art forms. I’ll still be making Christmas cards. However, I will also be featuring my art on canvas & wood. To begin, today I’ll show my pencil drawn images that I have colored with Derwent, Faber-Castell and/or Prisma color pencils and/or watercolor pencils.
Santa was drawn with a #2 pencil. He was then colored with Prisma color pencils.
Louisiana Brown Pelican, was hand drawn with a pencil and colored with Prisma color pencils.
The Spirit of Morgan City is my grandfather’s shrimp boat. It is situated in the median at the foot of the Huey P Long bridge on the Morgan City side of the Atchafalaya River. It is a symbol of the industry that populated the area. For the Thanksgiving & Christmas holidays, Santa Clause is usually at the helm.
These 3 drawings were done on Canson canvas. Drawn & colored by me.
The pieces above are all on Canson Mix Media card. They are 9 x 12 inches.
In my next posts, I’ll be showing some of my other types of art. So stay tuned!
Thanks for popping in,
Betty Jean Justilian Schaub
